Nathan Ogg and Evan Boegehold replace David Calland as Interim Co-Directors of The Alliance Chorus.
In 1999, a new chapter in the Barbershop Harmony Society (BHS) was born. Under the direction of David Calland: The Alliance of Greater Central Ohio!
Over the past 19 years, David Calland helped build, shape, and guide The Alliance while leading the organization on a continuous pursuit of musical excellence. After 18 consecutive appearances at the International Chorus Competition of the BHS, three international bronze medals, multiple Johnny Appleseed District Chorus championships, opening for the Rockettes at Rockefeller Center, and many more of our own performances and accolades, we have an extensive library of experiences, moments, and memories that we will forever cherish.
As of April 13, 2018, David Calland will no longer serve as the Director of our transforming organization. We are profoundly grateful for the artistry, expertise, talent, and more that David has generously provided to our Chapter and District since the beginning. We wish him all of the best in his future endeavors. We have no doubt that he will continue to pursue greatness in all that he does.
The Alliance is currently undergoing an exciting transformation! We are refocusing on our community, our members, and our internal workings. While the chorus holds a national Director search, two qualified and respected Chorus members have agreed to support us in the interim. Nathan Ogg and Evan Boegehold will share the title of Co-Director until we have determined the right fit for the Director role.
Please join us in welcoming them to the leading role. We look forward to developing our membership, connecting with our community, and focusing on our return to international competition.
Under our interim directors The Alliance will be developing repertoire for Spring and Holiday concerts, preparing for competition in the Fall of 2018, and undertaking several administrative and community initiatives. Read more at https://alliancechorus.org/
