2017 saw some amazing initiatives by members, in many cases behind the scenes.
The Dale Jurgens Award was established to honor the memory of Dale Jurgens and
acknowledges the unceasing contributions of The Alliance members who demonstrate his spirit of
silent, behind-the-scenes service.
2017 had two winners from multiple nominations: Jon Geyer and George Denino. Many thanks to you both for all ofyour behind-the-scenes service keeping this organization alive!

The Alliance Member of the Year (AMotY) Award embraces the ideals, core values and esprit de corps within our local fraternal singing organization and it represents the best of our chorus.
This year's recipient is the 2017 Secretary and 2018 VP of Membership, Tim Kalb! Evan's speech represented what was true for all of us about Tim: he is someone you can trust, someone we can all depend on, a great man, a kind friend, and answers mostly to "Damnit, Tim".

The Barbershopper of the Year (BotY) Award embraces the traditions and values our international
fraternal singing organization, and it represents the best of our society.
This year's recipient is the 2017 VP of Marketing and 2018 President, Chris Boron. Matt's remarks highlighted not only Chris' past involvement and their relationship, but also many of his accomplishments throughout 2017. If you wanted a list, though, you should have heard his incoming President speech... lol
